Inindo: Way of the Ninja Overview
Inindo: Way of the Ninja is set in 1581 Japan, where the player character is the sole survivor of a ninja clan destroyed by the warlord Nobunaga. This event sets the protagonist on a path of vengeance, beginning as a novice who is actively hunted.
The gameplay blends Japanese-style RPG exploration with strategic elements. Players travel across a world map to enter towns and explore dungeons. A key strategic layer involves interacting with feudal lords in castles, who can be persuaded to form alliances against the common enemy.
Combat uses a turn-based system with a third-person view, where positioning on the battlefield and the choice between melee or ranged attacks are factors. The player can assemble a party by recruiting characters from different classes, who join for various incentives. Completing missions for daimyos, such as espionage tasks, is part of the progression.
