Animaniacs Overview
Animaniacs is a platform game where players take control of the three Warner siblings, Yakko, Wakko, and Dot. The central objective is to recover the 24 scenes of a stolen film script for the Warner Bros. CEO, a theft orchestrated by Pinky and The Brain as part of their plan for world domination.
Gameplay involves switching between the three characters to utilize their combined abilities. They can be stacked to reach higher areas, and they can pick up and throw small objects to attack enemies. Additional actions include dashing to break obstacles and pushing larger objects to uncover secrets or create new paths.
Collecting the script scenes is essential for completion, with some awarded for finishing levels and others hidden, requiring specific tasks to find. Coins serve as another collectible, used to operate an on-screen slot machine. This mini-game can yield rewards like extra continues, temporary invincibility, or the return of lost characters, but it can also cost coins.
If a character is captured by the security guard Ralph, they are not permanently lost. Players can attempt a rescue by entering a special Water Tower stage from the map. Successfully reaching the top of the tower frees all captured Warners.
