Zoom! is an arcade puzzle game where the player controls a character called Zoomer. This character, which resembles Pac-Man but has limbs, moves across a grid with the objective of illuminating squares by tracing their outlines.
Progress is made by completing these squares, which awards points and advances the player to the next stage once the entire board is lit. The game indicates the number of lines remaining to finish each square. The challenge comes from monsters that patrol the board; touching them depletes energy and can result in losing a life.
To assist the player, various power-ups appear. These can provide advantages such as automatically filling adjacent tiles, granting bonus points, or allowing a player to skip a level entirely.
