Star Odyssey is a science fiction role-playing game originally known as Blue Almanac. Its narrative is set in a future where humanity has colonized the galaxy and interacts with various alien species.
The protagonist is a sixteen-year-old who, after surviving a childhood spaceship crash, is sent to the planet Terra as a foreign student. This journey initiates the central adventure. Combat in the game uses a turn-based system where enemy encounters are random. Battles are presented from a side-scrolling viewpoint, featuring animations for attacks from both the player's party and their opponents.
