Rings Of Power Overview
Rings of Power is a SEGA role-playing game where the player controls a young sorcerer named Buc. His mission is to recover eleven fragments of a broken artifact, the Rod of Creation, which were scattered after a conflict between its creator, Nexus, and a demon named Void.
The game's structure is open, allowing free exploration of a large isometric world without mandatory side narratives. Interactions with non-player characters are flexible, including conversation, bribery, and selective combat. A day and night cycle influences how these characters behave.
Combat is turn-based and relies exclusively on magic, as the game does not feature conventional weapons or armor. Buc will meet and recruit members from different magical guilds, each specializing in one of the six Arts, to form a party.
Its gameplay approach distinguishes it from many contemporary console RPGs, bearing more similarity to certain Western computer role-playing games.
