Oh Mummy Genesis is a Sega Genesis title that functions as an enhanced, unofficial remake of an earlier game. The setting involves two adventurers on a mission for the British Museum in Egypt, with the objective of securing five royal mummies alongside other treasures.
Its core gameplay is a single-screen maze experience where players navigate a grid of sarcophagi. Progressing to the next level requires collecting a key and a treasure, and sarcophagi are opened by walking a complete circle around them. This version introduces a more detailed narrative context and concludes each tomb with a boss encounter, additions not present in the original.
The package also contains a direct port of the original Amstrad CPC release of Oh Mummy. Following the depletion of its initial physical production, the game's ROM file was later offered as a free download from its official site.
