Master of Monsters Overview
Master of Monsters is a turn-based strategic conflict set in a land contested by wizards following the demise of their master. Players select one of five distinct sorcerers, each granting access to a unique roster of summonable monsters and a specific set of spells to cast during engagements.
Victory in each battle requires the elimination of all rival wizards. The game offers both structured campaigns, where surviving units carry over between maps and a turn limit imposes a challenging pace, and the option for standalone matches supporting up to four participants. Strategic depth arises from unit variety; monsters possess differing combat roles, such as long-range assault or potent but fragile magical offense, and their movement is heavily influenced by terrain types, with most having a preferred environment.
Control of the battlefield is crucial, as the number of towers a wizard holds directly influences how many creatures can be summoned each turn, alongside magical power. This makes securing these points a central tactical objective. Monsters and the wizard itself grow stronger through combat experience, and while a large force of up to thirty units can be assembled, its deployment is carefully managed through these territorial and resource constraints.
