Wild Gunman is a light gun title for the Nintendo Entertainment System where players use the Zapper peripheral. The setting is the Old West, with the player taking the role of a lawman.
Gameplay involves reacting to an on-screen command to fire during duels against outlaws. Success depends on shooting quickly after this signal. Encounters can be against one or two opponents, or in a mode where targets appear from various openings in a saloon building.
