Onyanko Town Overview
Onyanko Town is a top-down adventure where the player guides a mother cat named Milky through an urban environment. Her objective is to locate her lost kitten, Michael, and safely bring him back to their home.
The town presents various hazards, including enemy dogs, snakes, oncoming traffic, and open manholes. To defend herself, Milky can jump and manipulate manhole covers, which can be used to trap pursuing dogs. A fish taken from a market grants temporary invincibility, but triggers a challenging pursuit from the angry shopkeeper.
Successfully finding the kitten introduces a new complication for the return trip. Milky must then escort the kitten home while unable to jump, making navigation past the existing obstacles more difficult and requiring greater caution.
