Friday the 13th Overview
Friday the 13th is a game where players control a group of six camp counselors at Camp Crystal Lake. Their objective is to ultimately confront and defeat Jason Voorhees.
General gameplay involves navigating the camp, defeating hostile creatures, and gathering useful items. An alarm signals when Jason has entered a cabin, prompting a search. Control can be switched between any of the six counselors to manage the camp's geography more efficiently.
Upon finding the correct cabin, the perspective shifts to a maze-like interior view. Here, the player must use collected weapons to inflict damage on Jason. After sustaining enough injury, he retreats, and the cycle of exploration and alarm responses repeats. This structure makes the pacing challenging.
