Doraemon Overview
Doraemon is an action title for the NES where players control the robotic cat from the children's cartoon. The core objective involves a rescue mission, as each of Doraemon's friends has been taken captive and must be saved across distinct stages.
Gameplay shifts significantly between levels, preventing a repetitive structure. One area is explored from a top-down perspective, using special doors and openings to navigate and find a path. Another segment adopts a side-scrolling shooter format, while a final stage tasks the player with maneuvering through an underwater maze to collect necessary items.
Various power-ups are scattered throughout the adventure to aid the player. These items can augment Doraemon's attack power or increase his maximum health, which can be restored by collecting his preferred food.
