Taz-Mania for the Game Boy follows the Looney Tunes character Taz as he searches for a new home after escaping from the Acme Zoo. His exploration spans five tropical islands, each presenting various environmental threats and hostile creatures.
Gameplay involves navigating these hazards, which include enemies and natural dangers like quicksand. Taz utilizes his signature tornado spin and a stomp attack to overcome obstacles. A persistent antagonist, the Big Hat Hunter, pursues him with the goal of returning him to captivity.
The journey culminates in a confrontation with a giant dinosaur on Dodo Island. This version of the game is noted as being entirely distinct from the SEGA release sharing the same title.
