Spot Overview
"Spot" is a puzzle game for the Game Boy that incorporates a license from the 7Up brand. It supports up to four participants, who can be human or computer-controlled, with each assigned a distinct colored spot.
Victory in a round is determined by being the sole player with pieces remaining or by having the highest count when the board becomes completely occupied. The core mechanics involve players, beginning from opposing corners, alternately expanding their influence. This is done either by creating a new spot in an adjacent space or by jumping two spaces away, which vacates the original square.
A key tactical element is the conversion of pieces; when a spot is placed adjacent to an opponent's, that opponent's piece changes to the active player's color. This creates a challenging dynamic of territorial control and capture.
