Great Greed is a role-playing game where the player character is transported to an alternate dimension by a wizard called Microwave. The setting is broadly familiar but populated by characters with food-based names and adversaries that often resemble mutated vegetables. The central conflict involves opposing a destructive entity known as Bio-Haz.
The game's combat system operates without traditional menus, assigning actions directly to buttons for attacking and dodging. Spellcasting is accessed through directional inputs, and the challenging real-time element means enemies will not wait for the player to act. Progress is preserved through an automatic save function that records data after each victorious encounter.
