Donkey Kong Land III Overview
Donkey Kong Land III is a platforming game where Dixie Kong, accompanied by her infant cousin Kiddy, embarks on a quest to locate The Lost World. The narrative begins after the other Kongs depart for the same destination, prompting Dixie to take initiative with Kiddy in tow.
Gameplay involves controlling the duo, each with distinct abilities. Dixie can use her hair to glide and transport barrels overhead, while Kiddy's weight allows him to carry items in front of himself and execute extended jumps from ledges. Their journey is aided by several animal companions, including a parrot that flies and launches eggs, a spider that creates platforms with webbing, an elephant that attacks with water, and a swordfish for aquatic navigation.
Levels contain hidden Bonus Coins and DK Coins, which are not strictly required to see an ending but are necessary for full completion and accessing The Lost World areas. After finishing the main game, a Time Attack mode becomes available for attempting to set records on specific levels.
