Quest: Fantasy Challenge Overview
Quest: Fantasy Challenge is an adaptation of the Mr. Do! concept, featuring Brian from Quest 64 as its protagonist. The primary objective involves gathering every crystal within each stage to succeed.
The playfield is initially obstructed by dirt, which is cleared away as the character moves through it. This action of digging also creates pathways for adversaries that can eliminate the player on contact. Defensive options include a magic staff that fires a potent projectile, though it requires a cooldown period between shots. Another tactical element involves chests found in the environment; these are affected by physics and will drop if the ground beneath them is removed, damaging anything they land on.
Various items can be collected to temporarily enhance Brian's capabilities, such as increasing his movement rate or the potency of his attacks. The interplay between clearing space, managing weapon timing, and utilizing environmental hazards defines the core gameplay loop.
