Ready 2 Rumble Boxing : Round 2 Overview
Ready 2 Rumble Boxing: Round 2 is a boxing game for the Game Boy Advance where players manage a boxer's condition and timing during fights. A key strategic element involves two primary meters: one for health and another for stamina, which dictates punch strength and depletes with each swing. To maximize effectiveness, players must time their attacks carefully, as wild punching reduces potency, while a full stamina bar allows for more powerful strikes.
The game offers multiple modes of play. The most comprehensive is Championship mode, which simulates a boxer's career progression, requiring training through mini-games like weightlifting and bag work to improve attributes such as power and speed. For immediate action, Arcade mode provides a straightforward series of matches, while Survival mode presents a challenging endurance test by carrying over health depletion between fights.
Eleven boxers are included, with eight available initially and three unlockable, two of whom are real-life celebrities. Each match is introduced by announcer Michael Buffer, and a unique "Rumble" mechanic allows players to build letters by taunting, eventually enabling a temporary, stamina-free flurry of punches. Post-fight statistics detail performance metrics like punch accuracy and knockdowns.
