Pokemon Rijon Adventures is set in Castle Bright, where a celebration is prepared using six tiaras left by princesses. The player controls Lily, a new resident who discovers the tiaras are gone and decides to recover them.
Gameplay involves exploring the castle and nearby areas. Objectives are tracked on a map, guiding the player to talk to characters, collect items, and finish specific tasks. Some activities include mini-games.
Progress is made by locating six portals to other worlds. In these worlds, the player meets the princesses, helps find their lost friends, and secures six special items required for the end of the game. Advancing unlocks additional cutscenes and mini-games.
