Players control the Pokémon Butterfree in a side-scrolling environment. The primary activity involves gathering nectar from flowers while navigating airborne hazards. The scrolling movement is continuous, and a button press allows Butterfree to gain altitude.
Two types of obstacles threaten progress: mobile Beedrill that actively pursue the player and stationary Weezing. The objective is to accumulate the maximum amount of nectar possible while avoiding contact with these enemies.
