Kao the Kangaroo Overview
Kao the Kangaroo for the Game Boy Advance presents a two dimensional side scrolling platform experience. The player guides the kangaroo protagonist through twenty seven distinct stages.
Movement primarily involves running and jumping, with additional vehicles like snowboards and jet skis introduced later. Hostile creatures encountered throughout the levels must be dealt with either through evasion or combat.
Combat is centered on a pair of boxing gloves for direct attacks, supplemented by a tail spin maneuver executed by pressing down and attack to hit lower targets. A checkpoint system allows players to drop collected flags to establish custom continue points within a level.
