Battletoads Overview
Battletoads for the Game Boy Advance is an action game featuring the three amphibious fighters Zitz, Rash, and Pimple. The narrative begins with the trio on a space station where a dancer reveals herself as the Dark Queen, leading to the abduction of Rash and Pimple. This event sets Zitz on a mission to pursue her across various hostile environments.
Gameplay involves controlling Zitz through a series of distinct stages. These include standard combat-focused levels where enemies are confronted directly, as well as sequences involving flying or racing where the focus shifts to shooting or evasion. Each stage concludes with a challenging boss encounter. While it retains the core characters and title, this particular version features levels and enemy designs that are largely different from other releases in the series.
