Wham! Overview
Wham! is a two player arcade experience where opponents pilot ships through confined cave environments. Players may compete against each other or a computer opponent using a split screen display. The core objective involves destroying the other ship using an arsenal of weapons and collected bonuses.
Pilots choose from a selection of spaceships, each with distinct characteristics. Some models prioritize speed over durability, while others are slower but possess greater resilience and firepower. The game also provides tools for players to design their own spacecraft or custom cave levels.
Combat utilizes main cannons and a wide array of special weapons, which number sixty in total. These special armaments present significant trade offs, ranging from highly powerful but inaccurate options to rapid firing weapons that inflict less damage. One unique weapon type functions as a guidance system toward objectives. The game's content includes twelve cannons, ten bonus items, and thirty pre designed levels.
