Shufflepuck Cafe Overview
In this digital adaptation of air hockey, players face off against a series of computer opponents using a bat to deflect a puck. The objective is to score by knocking the puck into the opponent's goal, with matches decided by which side first achieves fifteen such goals, referred to as glassbreaks.
The game offers both single matches and a structured tournament where adversaries are faced in a sequence of increasing challenge. Some of these opponents employ underhanded tactics, creating a challenging environment where the player may also utilize similar advantages, such as altering the size and position of their paddle.
Play occurs within a confined, walled area accompanied by music that draws inspiration from the "Cantina Band" theme. This setup pits one human player against one computerized adversary in each match, with no additional participants on the table.
