Oil Cap Overview
Oil Cap is a strategic puzzle game where players arrange pipe segments to guide a flow of oil. The primary objective is to construct a continuous pipeline to maximize the oil's travel distance, which directly determines the player's score.
Gameplay involves placing various oddly shaped connectors on a grid before a countdown finishes and the oil begins to move. The pipeline can be built over existing, discarded segments, though this replacement is not instantaneous. Success is measured by reaching a target score to progress, with points deducted for any unused pieces at the round's end.
Progression introduces a challenging increase in complexity. Later levels feature holes in the grid and sometimes a specific endpoint the oil must reach. Occasionally, special pipe segments appear that grant bonus points when incorporated into the path.
