Empire Soccer 94 Overview
Empire Soccer 94 is a top-down football simulation that deliberately avoids realism in favor of a comical, exaggerated style. The playing field is compact and square, with oversized player sprites dominating the view.
Its mechanics include standard moves like trapping and passing, but are defined by special, assignable abilities. Before a match, each team member can be given powers such as a heavily curving power shot, a super dribble that magnetizes the ball, or a barge to physically displace opponents.
Multiplayer is supported for up to eight participants in a full world cup tournament or in single exhibition matches. The game also incorporates an action replay system that uses VCR-style controls for reviewing play.
