Cyril Cyberpunk is set in a futuristic version of Manhattan. The protagonist, an ordinary boy named Cyril, intercepts a transmission warning of an imminent alien invasion and chooses to confront the threat directly.
Gameplay involves navigating through a series of platform-based stages. Progress is achieved by defeating enemies and locating keycards to unlock new areas. The total number of levels available is thirty-two, which includes three that are hidden.
Players have access to a gun for combat and a flying skateboard for mobility. The software also provides a tool for creating custom levels.
