Champion of The Raj Overview
Champion of the Raj is a historical strategy game set in India during the year 1800. Players assume leadership of one of several competing factions, which include the British, French, Mogul Empire, Maruthras, Sikhs, and Gurkhas.
Control over territories provides tax revenue, which funds various state functions. Military expansion is supported by recruiting soldiers and enhancing their equipment, enabling assaults on rival lands. Alternatively, resources can be directed toward domestic development, such as boosting industrial output or maintaining public order, to strengthen the economy and manage popular sentiment.
Diplomatic avenues exist alongside conquest. Negotiations can persuade territories to join an empire, though their success frequently depends on winning short arcade-style challenges. These interactive sequences, which involve activities like elephant races or tiger hunts, also occur after significant events such as seizing an enemy's palace.
