Blood & Magic Overview
Blood & Magic is a real-time strategy title set within the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Forgotten Realms. Its structure consists of five narrative scenarios, each containing three missions that can be played from either faction's perspective, resulting in thirty total missions of challenging progression.
The gameplay emphasizes unit control over constructing a base. A player's initial and central unit is the Basal Golem, which produces the mana required for all other actions. This mana is spent to transform these golems into more powerful combat units or, in some cases, into functional structures.
Presented from a two-dimensional top-down view on a tile-based map, the game incorporates environmental factors where different terrains influence movement and combat. Magical items are also present as discoverable elements on these battlefields, and opposing forces are capable of utilizing them.
