Aspetra Overview

Aspetra is a Japanese-style role-playing game where the player controls a hero claiming to be sent by a mage. The narrative begins with the hero's arrival and a village attack that results in the elder's kidnapping, prompting the rescue mission that forms the core journey.

Gameplay involves exploration across wilderness and dungeon areas, where random encounters with enemy groups trigger combat. These fights use a semi-turn-based system where actions are queued, but delays allow enemies to continue their turns. Combat options include weapon attacks, item use, fleeing, and eventually magic spells. Victories yield currency, experience points, and level-ups that restore health and improve character statistics.

Outside of combat, towns provide services such as inns for complete recovery, shops for trading equipment and items, and NPCs for dialogue. Found or purchased gear, including weapons, shields, and rings, modifies attack power, physical defense, and magic defense respectively.
