Air Bucks Overview
Air Bucks is a business simulation set in the post-war airline industry beginning in 1946. The player's objective is to develop a profitable carrier from a modest initial investment.
Management involves a range of operational choices, such as purchasing airport rights, configuring aircraft seating, and setting service levels for amenities like food. Fares for individual flight segments are also under player control. These and other strategic decisions are accessed through the game's interface menus.
The experience includes unpredictable special events that disrupt normal operations, demanding rapid adjustments to flight schedules. Players must also plan international routes and account for the cost of landing permissions. Each new session generates a unique world map, and competition comes from up to three other airlines, which can be managed by either human players or artificial intelligence.
