Advanced Civilization Overview
Advanced Civilization is a digital adaptation of a board game set in the ancient Mediterranean. Players guide a nation over approximately eight millennia, from the beginnings of agriculture to the rise of Rome.
Victory is achieved not through conquest alone but by achieving a balanced advancement across cultural, economic, political, and religious domains. While military conflict can occur, it is typically a consequence of territorial scarcity rather than a primary objective of annihilation. The gameplay is challenging, requiring effective management of these interconnected systems to build the strongest civilization.
A notable design feature is the deterministic resolution of most actions, including combat, which does not rely on chance. The sole exception comes from event cards, which can introduce unpredictable elements such as natural disasters or internal unrest.
