Super Mario All-Stars + Super Mario World Overview
Super Mario All-Stars + Super Mario World is a compilation title for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It combines the contents of the earlier Super Mario All-Stars release with the separate game Super Mario World into a single cartridge.
The collection includes five distinct platforming adventures: Super Mario Bros., its Japanese sequel The Lost Levels, Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Bros. 3, and Super Mario World. Most of these titles received significant upgrades to their visuals and sound compared to their original Nintendo Entertainment System versions.
An exception to these enhancements is Super Mario World, which was already a native SNES title. Its inclusion features only a minor cosmetic adjustment, altering Luigi's sprite to give him a taller, thinner appearance distinct from Mario. This software was not sold individually and was exclusively available as part of a bundled "Mario Set" console package.
