King's Knight Overview
King's Knight is a fantasy top-down shooter where players control four distinct heroes. Their objective is to defeat a dragon and save a princess, requiring the entire party to survive until the final assault. The game was an early release from the company now known as Square Enix.
Each character has a specialized role: a knight for attack, a wizard for magic, a monster for defense, and a thief for speed. Progression involves guiding these heroes through initial stages to collect essential upgrades. These power-ups, which improve attributes like defense, speed, and attack, are concealed within the environment and must be uncovered by destroying objects.
Success depends on gathering specific spell icons and keeping every party member alive through the early levels. The final stage presents obstacles that are impassable if any hero has been lost, making the overall task challenging.
