Dragon Slayer I Overview
Dragon Slayer I is an action role playing game where a knight explores large overhead dungeons. These maze like environments are fixed, with no procedural generation affecting their layout or contents.
Combat occurs in real time on the same screen used for navigation. To attack, the player must maneuver the knight to physically collide with a monster, while also evading its counterattacks. Enemies may chase the player character if he retreats.
Character progression involves collecting power stones to increase attack strength and coins to raise hit points. Defeating foes grants experience, which determines the maximum health the knight can attain. The knight has access to magic spells, though these are primarily utilitarian, serving functions like breaking walls, teleportation, or mapping the area rather than direct combat.
