LEGO Alpha Team Overview
LEGO Alpha Team is a puzzle game for the Game Boy Color that cannot be played on earlier monochrome Game Boy hardware. The setting involves a team led by Dash opposing a villain named Ogel.
Gameplay revolves around indirect control of characters. Players do not guide the team members directly, but instead place various devices in the environment to alter their automated paths. These devices include Direction Changer Tiles, stairs, trampolines, and chutes. The primary constraint is a challenging limited inventory of pieces that must be used to complete each mission objective.
Available tools extend beyond typical LEGO bricks, incorporating elements like dynamite detonators, lasers, seesaws, and anti-gravity generators. Some mechanics, such as the seesaws, allow for interaction between two team members.
