Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 for Game Boy Advance brings the skateboarding series to the handheld with an isometric two dimensional presentation. Levels are adapted from the console versions, including one carried over from the first game in the series.
Players select a professional skater and work through goals in various levels. These objectives involve gathering items, executing specific tricks, and achieving high scores through combos. Success is rewarded with currency used to access new areas, purchase equipment, and improve the skater's abilities.
Beyond the primary career progression, unlocked environments can be revisited for practice or to set new records in separate modes. Some levels shift the focus from earning money to winning medals in direct competition.
