Titeuf Mega Compet Overview
Titeuf: Méga compet' is a 2D Game Boy Advance title that compiles various mini-games themed around the French comic series. Its premise involves Titeuf and his classmates attempting to avoid being cloned, a fear sparked by a television program, by engaging in a series of schoolyard activities.
The central hub is the school, navigated via a top-down view using a star cursor to select events. Progression is governed by a school week calendar, requiring players to accumulate a set number of points before the week concludes. Points are awarded in three distinct categories: méga bisou, méga style, and méga bêtise.
Mini-game examples include aiming a stream of urine from a high window to hit classmates while avoiding adults, or using a water gun in a park to spray friends before time expires, with the need to periodically refill the gun. Other activities involve quickly selecting desirable magazines at a newsstand or removing clothing from a picture by choosing correct items under time pressure.
Outside the main single-player mode, a separate méga compet' mode allows direct access to mini-games for one or two players. This includes a vertically split-screen running game where characters must jump obstacles. A cell phone interface in the main game enables receiving and replying to text messages with gag responses.
