Steel Empire is a Game Boy Advance title that adapts its narrative directly from the film. The player assumes the role of Luke Skywalker, navigating a series of locations including Hoth, Dagobah, and Cloud City.
Gameplay involves utilizing a blaster, lightsaber, and force powers to confront adversaries. While familiar foes from the movie appear, such as Darth Vader, the experience also incorporates confrontations not seen in the film, like battling Boba Fett's ship, the Slave I.
Allies including R2-D2, Yoda, and Obi-Wan Kenobi provide guidance during the journey, often offering tactical advice on enemy vulnerabilities. The progression through settings like Echo Base and Bespin leads to additional encounters, such as with Cloud Cars.
