Sonic Battle Overview
Sonic Battle is a fighting game for the Game Boy Advance that uses an isometric 3D environment built from polygons, contrasting with its 2D character sprites. Its core combat system organizes special moves into three categories: aerial, ground, and guard attacks, allowing for nine possible techniques in total, though only three can be equipped during a match. These selections can be reconfigured each time a player loses a stock.
Multiplayer is supported for up to four players via system link. The roster includes nine characters, and gameplay is structured around five distinct modes: Story, Battle, Challenge, Training, and Mini Games. A notable feature is a fully customizable robot character, whose abilities in movement and combat can be developed and tailored by the player.
Completing the game with all characters and fully upgrading the robot extends the playtime considerably, making the overall experience fair in terms of required commitment for total completion.
