Columns Crown Overview
Columns Crown is a puzzle game for the Game Boy Advance where the player's objective is to recover 24 magical gems. These gems are the key item for Princess Dazzle, who needs them to secure her sovereignty as queen.
The core puzzle mechanics involve a playing field that fills with colored gems. Similar to other falling-block games, matching three or more gems of the same color causes them to vanish. The primary method of gem recovery is through three distinct game modes, which present challenging variations on this core rule.
Gems can be earned by progressing in Survival Mode, where the goal is to clear as many gems as possible for a high rank. They are also awarded for victories in Versus Mode against thief opponents and for successfully completing the timed tasks in Flash Columns mode, which requires removing a specific flashing gem from a crowded field.
