Thing Thing 2 Overview
Thing Thing 2 was one of those games you'd find on a Flash portal in the mid-2000s. It arrived in 2006, a product of the now-defunct studio, Awesome Games. The game fit right into that era of simple, fast-paced browser titles you could play for a few minutes between other tasks.
You control a lone soldier navigating a series of industrial rooms. Your goal is to survive each wave of robotic enemies and reach the exit. You move with the arrow keys, aim with the mouse, and fire with a click. The game gives you a primary weapon, but you can swap it for others dropped by foes, like a shotgun or a rocket launcher. You also have a melee attack for close encounters. The pacing is relentless; enemies spawn quickly and attack from multiple angles. It feels frantic and direct, a test of quick reflexes and target prioritization.
