Wrath of Earth Overview
Wrath of Earth is a first-person shooter set on the distant planet Thermadax. The player controls a cybernetically enhanced soldier in an exoskeleton, responding to a five-year-old distress call from the Aragon mining colony. The mission involves confronting mutated former colonists and robotic invaders.
Gameplay blends standard shooter mechanics with environmental tactics. The protagonist is often challenging to play, requiring the use of cover for survival. The exoskeleton can repair and recharge its power by absorbing light, making positioning between dark and lit areas a key consideration. Its functionality degrades with damage, impairing combat accuracy and fire rate.
Various futuristic armaments are available, including plasma cannons and warhead launchers, which draw from either the suit's energy or separate ammunition. Progress depends not only on combat but also on interacting with the setting to collect items, solve tasks, and bypass security systems. Remaining human survivors can be encountered to receive supplies, weapons, and intelligence.
The suit offers different operational modes: one for combat, another for managing inventory items like keycards and mines, and a search mode that provides a local map, compass, and enemy-detecting radar. Environmental hazards such as extreme temperature and radioactivity also affect movement and weapon performance.
