The Settlers II: Mission CD Overview
This expansion introduces a campaign where the player assumes the role of a descendant of the original game's protagonist, with the objective of global conquest. The campaign consists of nine missions spread across six continents, each represented by a large map designed to resemble its real world counterpart. These maps feature distinct climates, such as the deep snow of Greenland or the mixed desert and veld of Africa, which correspond to the enemies and settings of specific missions.
Beyond the campaign, the add on provides twelve new maps for free play and includes a map editor. The editor allows for custom map creation, though it imposes a restriction on designing maps that support naval travel. This content is also part of a bundled release known as The Settlers II: Gold Edition.
