Stone Age Overview
Stone Age is a puzzle game where the player directs a dinosaur through a series of caves. The objective for each of the 100 levels is to guide this character to an exit.
Navigation involves interacting with specialized floor tiles. These include blocks that can be pushed in a single direction, others that disintegrate after use, and tiles that hold colored keys required to bypass matching locks. The dinosaur is restricted to moving across these specific block types.
Progress is maintained via a password system shown after finishing a level, allowing players to resume later. The game is considered challenging, partly due to a time limit; two difficulty settings offer different amounts of time, and failing to complete a level in time costs a life. Any score accumulated is lost upon quitting, though level progress is not.
Visuals are presented in a simple, cartoony style across varied environments. An integrated Jukebox feature functions as a playlist editor, letting players customize the music tracks.
