Operation Carnage Overview
Operation Carnage is a DOS arena shooter where the player fights through a series of contained rooms against alien forces. The setting involves an Earth subjugated through subtle alien methods, resulting in humanity being farmed for its essence.
Progression is organized into eight distinct sectors, each composed of multiple rooms that must be cleared of all enemies to advance. The final challenge in every sector is a confrontation with a large boss, typically a spacecraft or a major alien entity.
Gameplay involves collecting various items to aid in combat, including different weapon types like machine guns, flame projectors, and plasma guns, alongside scatter bombs and other power-ups. The core loop is built on room-by-room elimination, with the player's role centered on combating this oppressive regime.
