Dynatech Overview
Dynatech is a real time economic simulation set in a future where Earth's resources are exhausted. A corporation of the same name has been established to exploit distant worlds, and the player assumes the role of an entrepreneur seeking profit within this system.
Gameplay revolves entirely around trade and production logistics within a supply and demand economy. Participants acquire facilities and spacecraft from the corporation to extract raw materials and manufacture goods, ranging from food to machinery. The experience involves competing and occasionally cooperating with rivals in an interplanetary market.
This DOS title supports two players simultaneously on one computer and contains no combat or piracy elements. Its focus on interstellar commerce and production has drawn comparisons to later series like Patrician and Port Royale.
