Clue: Master Detective Overview
Clue: Master Detective is a digital adaptation of the physical board game, licensed from its original rights holders. The premise involves solving a murder that occurred in a manor, where one of the guests is the culprit. Players must identify the specific combination of suspect, weapon, and location responsible for the crime.
Gameplay revolves around moving a character through the manor based on dice rolls, entering rooms to make suggestions about the murder details. The computer manages a deck of cards, secretly designating three as the solution and distributing the rest to players. Information is gathered by observing which cards other players can reveal to disprove suggestions, enabling a challenging process of logical deduction. Victory is achieved by making a final, correct accusation once the solution is deduced.
The software supports multiple human players sharing one computer, accommodating up to ten participants. It also offers three distinct levels of artificial intelligence for solo play, which adjust the fair difficulty of competing against computer-controlled opponents.
