Carmageddon Overview
Carmageddon is a driving game where the player begins at a low rank and must progress upward. The open environments allow for exploration beyond the designated track.
While a race can be won conventionally, the gameplay strongly incentivizes causing destruction. Damaging rival vehicles and striking pedestrians are central activities that yield rewards. Performing these actions generates credits used for immediate repairs or vehicle enhancements during an event.
A key progression system involves permanently acquiring an opponent's car after wrecking it repeatedly. The courses contain various power-ups, which range from practical aids to more unconventional items. The overall objective is to reach the top position, with collected cars serving as both trophies and potential replacements.
