Looney Tunes: Marvin Strikes Back! is a direct sequel where the player controls Marvin the Martian. His motivation for returning to Earth is a personal quest for revenge, sparked by Daffy Duck taking credit for Marvin's earlier defeat.
Gameplay involves shooting and walking, but Marvin's limited abilities require strategic use of a large roster of other characters. These characters, forty five in total, are collected throughout the game and provide necessary functions like traversing environmental obstacles.
The collected characters can be used in two player modes and are also tradable. This system is integrated with the previous title, allowing data from the first game to be imported into the sequel.
