Disney's Donald Duck: Goin' Quackers Overview
Disney's Donald Duck: Goin' Quackers for the Game Boy Color is a side-scrolling platformer. The plot involves Donald Duck attempting to rescue Daisy Duck, who has been captured by the magician Merlock.
To aid in the rescue, inventor Gyro Gearloose attempts to teleport Donald using an unfinished device. This results in Donald being sent to several distinct environments, such as forest areas, a haunted house, and Duckburg's rooftops. His objective across these worlds is to recover stolen blueprints for the teleporter, which are needed to ultimately confront Merlock.
Gameplay revolves around navigating these levels while avoiding hazards. Donald can jump on enemies to defeat them and perform a double-jump to access higher platforms. His survivability is challenging, as he can only sustain a single hit before losing a life and restarting the level. Collectible orbs provide benefits like health restoration, extra lives, or a temporary Hyper mode that allows Donald to defeat enemies on contact and break through certain obstacles.
